Ocean Avenue Entertainment, Inc. was established in 2009 and currently represents some of the very best films for a faith and general audience.
In 2012 Ocean Ave established a direct relationship with Netflix and continues to be an official aggregator for their global platform. 23 BLAST is the latest film to be licensed to Netflix.
In late 2014, Ocean Ave became a full service distribution company with its first film 23 BLAST. Since then, Ocean Ave has released numerous films on platforms including Amazon Prime, UP TV, Roku TV, Tubi TV, PureFlix, Angel Studios and numerous others both domestically and globally. In addition to licensing on streaming platforms and linear television, Ocean Ave releases its films on DVD. This includes the entire process of manufacturing and then securing retail placement in the general and faith markets. In 2024 Ocean Avenue established a direct agreement with NBCUniversal for its catalog of over 31 films currently on Peacock TV.
Most recently, Ocean Ave has a new initiative to develop and produce genre specific movies with a faith-forward emphasis.
Chris Bueno has produced numerous projects, among them: THE INDESTRUCTIBLE BOOK, a four-hour documentary with Cambridge University Press in England, THE SCENIC WONDERS BIBLE, a 52-episode series encompassing the entire New Testament, and THE GOOD ENTERTAINMENT SHOW, hosted by Michael Medved.
In 2004, he co-founded Carmel Entertainment Group, a company specializing in distribution. As CEO, he was instrumental in securing distribution for the Kendrick Brothers groundbreaking film, FACING THE GIANTS. Subsequently this led to the release of FIREPROOF, the #1 independent feature film of 2008. Other projects included FLYWHEEL, COURAGEOUS, FAITH LIKE POTATOES, NO GREATER LOVE, DEAR FRANCIS, SECRET OF THE CAVE, DRIVE THRU HISTORY, and THE LEE STROBEL DOCUMENTARY SERIES, which he also produced.
Ocean Avenue Entertainment is owned by Chris and his wife Denise. Jointly working together, this year they began development on original films with a faith-forward emphasis for production slated in 2026.
As co-founder, Denise serves in the support of acquisitions and development for Ocean Avenue Entertainment, a boutique distribution company. With a rich background in the performing arts, Denise was previously a member of the Actor’s Equity Association and the Actor’s Co-op in Hollywood, experiences that fueled her passion for storytelling and collaboration. Beyond her professional endeavors, Denise is dedicated to her family, homeschooling their son in classical education, directing shows for Christian Youth Theater, and supporting her church community. Alongside her husband Chris, she has embarked on an exciting journey to develop original films on meaningful stories of faith for a lasting impact.
